Enjoy a small group fun experience on your half day tour with one of our knowledgable and friendly driver/guides.

Wine tastings at leading Hunter wineries

On our half day tours you’ll visit a seletion of 3 great wineries/cellar doors for wine tastings. You will sample approximately 5-6 wines at each winery/cellar door. All tasting fees are INCLUDED in the tour cost.

* The internet special rate does not apply on public holidays, long weekends and periods of peak demand e.g. Australia Day, Easter weekend, Queen’s Birthday weekend and the Christmas-New Year period 2021-2022. Check the calendar for prices for your preferred tour date. A $10 surcharge will also be added on all public holidays.

HALF DAY MORNING ITINERARY

Half Day Morning

9:20am-10:00am – Check out our detailed pick-up list here. We will pick you up to join your morning tour from your Cessnock, Pokolbin or Lovedale accommoadtion – subject to location. Other areas by arrangement. Or, you are welcome to meet us at Pokolbin General Store in Pokolbin for a convenient pick up.

You will visit a mixed selection of 3 top wineries / cellar doors in the Hunter Valley where you will enjoy private group tastings and smaple award winning wines and time after to purchase some of the best wine in the Hunter directly from the cellar door at great cellar door prices.

1:15-1:45pm – We will drop back to your pick up location or accommodation. We assure you that you will be feeling a little sleepy and mellow after a fabulous morning in the Hunter!

HALF DAY AFTERNOON ITINERARY

12:30-1:15pm – We will pick you up to join your tour afternoon tour from Cessnock, Pokolbin or Lovedale accommodation – subject to location, or you are welcome to meet us at the Pokolbin Village General Store for a convenient central pick up point.

You will visit a selection of 3 top wineries / cellar doors in the Hunter Valley where you will enjoy a private group tasting with time afterwards to purchase some of the best wine in the region directly from the cellar door at great cellar door prices.

4:00-4:30pm – We’ll drop you back to your accommodation or pick up location after the tour. We assure you, you’ll be feeling a little mellow after a fabulous afternoon touring the Hunter wineries!

Frequently Asked Questions about our Half Day Hunter Wine Tours

What is the duration of this tour?

The half day tours are around 3.5 hours duration. The morning tour is available from around 10:00am to 1:30pm, with pick ups commencing from 9:30am. The half day afternoon wine tour is generally available from 1:00-4:30pm with pick ups from around 12:15pm.

Is lunch included on the half day tour?

The half day tours do not include lunch. If you wish to have a tour with lunch included please book a full day Hunter wine tour.

If you book a private group half day tour, we can look at arranging a cafe/restaurant transfer for you and offer a number of lunch options and suggestions for you. Contact us for details.

What wineries do we visit?

We aim to ensure our guests experience a mixed selection of wineries/cellar doors. We select some of the best wineries available in the Hunter Valley. The selection can vary from day to day, driver to driver. If you want to visit a specific winery, please consider a private Hunter Valley wine tour.

How many people can book?

You can book for just one person, or up to 10 people. For a group more than 10 people we suggest a private Hunter Valley wine tour. We can customise a tour to suit for groups of up to 10, 14 or 20 people.

How often does this tour depart?

The half day Hunter wine tours 7 days per week but does not operate on Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day. The afternoon wine tour also does not operate on a Sunday afternoon except on long weekends.

Hunter Valley Wine Tasting Tours Terms

Terms & Conditions Cancellation Policy:

1. Within 24 hours of tour date – 100% cancellation fee.
2. Within 48 hours of tour date – 50% cancellation fee.
3. Cancellations or changes to numbers must be received in writing / email as early as possible and no later than 48 hours before the tour date.

Small Groups (5 or more people):

For a person booking a group of people on a wine tour, you must advise us in advance us of any changes to your numbers going on the tour as the above cancellation policy conditions will apply. e.g. If you book for 5 people, you pay for 5 people, if you booking for 7 people, you pay for 7 people etc. unless you advise us of a change to your numbers in advance. We want to give you maximum flexibility for possible changes to your numbers but retain the right to sell any unwanted seats at least 7 days prior to the tour.

Payment:

Payment is collected on the tour date by the driver / guide. You can choose to pay by cash, eftpos or credit card (Visa, MasterCard. No AMEX).
